Day 1:
1) Tanah Lot Temple - Located on a small island, which can be visited by foot from the shore during low tide.
2) Taman Ayun Temple - Built for the Mengwi King of the 1600's. Full of tall tiered temple towers.
3) Lunch at Warung Sunset - Ate delicious Balinese BBQ pork ribs!
4) Padang Padang Beach - Local beach with crystal clear water and cool rock formations.
5) Uluwatu Temple - Perched on top of a cliff and full of wild monkeys (Karbo is terrified of monkeys!). Watched Balinese Kicak dance near the temple.
Made drove us from Seminyak to Ubud and after we checked in to Sandat Bali Guest House in Ubud we went on another full-day guided tour with Made.
1) Ubud Market - We didn't spend too much time there, but we did buy matching beer tank tops there!
2) Tegalalang Rice Terrace - Beautiful, lush, green, and obviously made for tourists.
3) Mount. Batour - Active volcano with a spectacular lake partially surrounding it. We ate a nasty buffet lunch at a restaurant overlooking the volcano. At least the view was nice!
4) Satria - Coffee farm where we tried the famous luwag (weasel poop) coffee!
5) Tirta Empul Temple - Known for its holy water that locals and tourists alike visit for spiritual purposes.
