I was supposed to pack last night (August 21), but instead I stayed up all night consolidating my music library on the laptop. Being the procrastinator that I am (something I am working on improving!), I thought I would just pack all day today. Little did I know, our last day turned out to be busier than expected. With canceling my car insurance, getting the car ready for storage, saying good bye to friends, co-workers, and Karbo's grandparents downtown, and fighting horrible downtown traffic, I didn't finish packing until right before dinner.
Speaking of dinner...WOW! My mom went to town in the kitchen for our last home-cooked meal in Vancouver.

Anyway, hopefully I didn't leave anything important at home and that I included everything I needed with my speedy packing skills.
Another thing I forgot to do last night besides packing was checking in our flight right when the 24 hour check-in period began. By the time I remembered to do it on Thursday afternoon, only 2 seats remained and they were nowhere near each other. Not the end of the world but it was slightly embarrassing because this happened not long after I asked Karbo not to micro-manage me, and that I would check us in for the flight last night. Way to go Jason. Luckily, there was a single traveler sitting next to me who was willing to swap seats with Karbo. Note to self: Check in flights as soon as possible, especially Cathay Pacific connection flights in Vancouver between Hong Kong and New York.

On the red-eye flight to NYC now. Karbo's asleep and I elected to watch a movie instead of sleeping. Olympus is Fallen is an action packed movie that's given me a man crush on Gerard Butler.
Our first day in New York is going to be a tough one with no sleep tonight, but I'm so excited for our trip to begin I don't even care!
